A Fitting Welcome…

17th September 2025

Hello my most beautiful and precious starshine,

How are you my lovely? I really do hope you’re keeping well, and you avoided getting caught in the rain this morning. I struggled to get to sleep last night, because my nervous system went into overdrive after eating. I fell asleep in the early hours, so I didn’t know what the weather was like first thing. The rain was heavy overnight so I was keeping my fingers crossed for you {} xxx

It’s 12.59. I hope you’re having a really good start to the day and it’s a good busy. I hope you loved your beautiful relaxing moment with coffee {} xx

Covid cases are on the rise again. Again, I’m keeping everything crossed you and all your loved ones are keeping safe and well. I really wish I could put a protective bubble around all of you.

I thought you might find this interesting. Birmingham Biotech, who developed the NoriZite nasal spray to help protect against airborne viruses, are now perfecting a drug free formula for hay fever. They’re hoping to have it on the market by the end of this year. I’ll let you know.

It’s 13.13. I have crashed badly, but these crashes force me to completely stop. I need that. My appointment yesterday, with the lady from the chronic fatigue clinic, went really well. It was lovely seeing her in person. She’s worked with ME/CFS patients before and since the pandemic.

She used a device called the HeartMath emWave, which is similar to the Garmin in showing the state of the autonomic nervous system (ANS). The difference is the Garmin shows you clearly when you’re in the resting parasympathetic state, whereas the HeartMath shows how relaxed you are during an active state. It’s a great way to monitor it.

I was surprised my deep breathing is very effective, and I only need to do it for a short time to bring it to a relaxed state. It’s different when my ANS goes into complete overdrive though. Deep breathing doesn’t help at all.

Since the deep breathing was so effective, we didn’t need to test it with anything else. I will do deep breaths throughout the day. It’s quick and simple. It’s very difficult to buy the HeartMath emWave2 machine, but I found one on eBay. I’m sure it’ll be as valuable as my Garmin.

I did get some reassuring and comforting news. I was told that there’s a good chance I will improve. It’s very unlikely I’ll get back to how I was, but hopefully I will have a better quality of life back. Short walks could be possible. I’m functioning at about 20% of what I used to prior to Long COVID. I would be extremely happy to get to 60%. Any more is just being greedy, but that really would be wonderful.

Going back to this morning, it was brilliant to see Led by Donkeys’ Trump and Epstein projection on Windsor Castle. Trump couldn’t have had a better welcome, along with the protestors, posters and merchandise. It’s a much needed counterbalance to the march. I imagine it made you smile and chuckle as well {} xx

Here are two songs for you to listen to later {} xx I think Have You Heard the News Today? by Earth to Eve is great. I thought you might enjoy Brooke Combe’s How Can I Tell You? Tim Burgess described it as having a “brilliant updated Northern Soul vibe”. He’s absolutely right. It’s fantastic and difficult to keep still to. I hope Brooke gets your feet tapping and you enjoy them both my lovely {} xxx

It’s now 14.46. I imagine you loved your scrumptious lunch. I hope your afternoon flies by. As always, I hope it’s not a late night this week. If it is, I hope you don’t get home too late. Coffee will take good care of you, and will give you lots of comfort for me as well {} xx

Take the greatest care of yourself my precious sweetheart. Rest well when you get home, and nourish your beautiful heart with special goodies. Give yourself lots of love and care for me {} xxx

I’m sending you tons and tons of love, with the biggest and tightest of magical healing and protective bear hugs and kisses. They’re always with you {} xxxx
