An Open Heart Door…

21st October 2025

Hello my most beautiful and precious starshine,

It’s 15:51. I imagine you’ve loved your very special moment with coffee. I imagine they’ve cheered you up and warmed your precious heart {} xx

How are you? I really do hope you’re okay my lovely, you slept restfully, and you’re having a wonderful day {} xxx It’s great the sun’s come out. They can’t wait to come home with you. Not long now.

It’s Steve’s Cropper’s birthday today. What a spectacular month it is! I never knew he co-wrote the brilliant Green Onions, and played with so many amazing people. Wow!! I know you’d know. I came across him playing Do It Like This with Felix Cavaliere. It’s so cool. I hope you enjoy it my beautiful sweetheart {} xxx

I just watched the animation of The Twits on Netflix. I remember reading the book as a child. The visual image of Mr. Twit and everything living in his beard is ingrained. They really were a revolting and nasty couple. Thinking about it now, it’s sad that they were in such a hateful and cruel relationship.

Although the film is based around them, it’s quite a different story. Cath Clarke was extremely scathing about it in her review for The Guardian. From her words, she felt they completely bastardised it. I guess people are going to be disappointed if they’re expecting to see the original story.

I think the best way to see it is with an open mind and heart. I loved it. It was perfectly timed as well. It popped up yesterday. I was expecting to see the original story, but what I saw was unexpected and something that struck many chords. The universe and synchronicity are working their magic this month.

Mr and Mrs Twit are still revolting, but they expanded the story lines, so there are other elements to it. It depicts the current political climate. Struggling people who are desperate for positive changes in their lives, being conned by charlatans. Naturally Brexit and what’s happening at the moment comes to mind.

In parallel, it was a story about children in an orphanage, and everything that brings. Being abandoned, but also not being abandoned by the ones who are in their lives, and not abandoning them. It’s true, family are the ones we mutually love, care and have empathy for. They don’t need to be blood related.

Hearing this helped confirm my feelings after yesterday. I am doing the right thing in making that final cut. I was desperately hoping for something that was never going to happen. It’s no one’s fault. It just is. The scars run through all my family from that time.

This sentence from the film brought me to tears, especially the last six words:

“My heart door will stay open to accept the love of others, because I deserve to be loved” The Twits – 2025 film.

David Byrne wrote some of the songs for the film. Here’s Open the Door written by David and Hayley Williams. I think it’s lovely, I hope you do too {} xx

It’s absolutely brilliant The Green’s are polling at 15% on YouGov. You must be so happy and excited as well my lovely {} xx A lot can change in the next three years. Hope’s alive and kicking again.

Zack’s such a brilliant communicator, isn’t he?! Genuine, and fresh and savvy. Complete contrast to the other parties. It’s fantastic he’s bringing the opposing views and possibilities to the fore, such as tackling inequality. No one in the media really discussed inequality when Jeremy Corbyn talked about it in the past, but some are beginning to, thanks to Zack. That’s a huge shift for better, and I imagine there’ll be more. Hopefully Overton will soon feel happy with their window again.

It’s 17.38. If you’re not already home, I really hope you will be soon my lovely. Once everything is done, and you can finally relax, enjoy the most beautiful and restful evening making your precious heart sing {} xxx

I love you and I’m hugging you with all my heart. Hug, hug. Kiss, kiss. Take it gently and rest well {} xxxx

Cheeky October…

Letters of Love, Regret and Hope
