Comic Strip Presents…

3rd September 2026

Hello my most beautiful and precious starshine {} xxx

It’s 17:17 xx Did you watch The Comic Strip Presents? I completely forgot about them until today, when someone posted a clip. I never knew Kate Bush was in an episode called Les Dogs. It’s brought back some happy memories. I hope you enjoy it as well my lovely xx

How are you? I hope you’re keeping really well, and you’re having a great week. I know you’ll all be doing brilliantly xx I hope it’s not too tiring. I’m keeping everything crossed you’ll be running out that door, and driving up that hill very soon {} xxx

I really wish I could write and speak with you directly {}

I’m struggling but I finally started a message today. I’ll hopefully finish tomorrow, then very slowly get through the rest. It’ll take me a couple of months. Little by little. It’s always little by little.

Did you have problems with your internet connection this afternoon? We did, but it’s back to normal now. It didn’t completely cut off, but it was very slow and I couldn’t access a number of websites.

I’ve been watching a lot of superhero movies over the last few months. Liron said it’s because I’m looking for the good in the world. I guess this is true with Quantum Leap as well.

Have you seen the earlier Spider-Man movies with Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst? I love all three. I can’t watch the ones that have followed. I’ve tried.

There’s such a poignant moment in Spider-Man 2, where he’s saving a train going off the rails. He’s struggling after the rescue, and the passengers help bring him into the carriage. They see him maskless for the very first time, and shocked to see how young he is. They promise to keep his identity a secret, and then try to help shield, protect and defend him.

This scene really moved me. So much is conveyed without words. Even superheroes need help, don’t they? They’re still human, even Clark Kent. It was also lovely seeing Christopher Reeves again. I remember watching his Superman films so many times at home.

I love Smallville as well. Did you watch it? They had a more macabre version of Metamorphosis, where the person turns nasty, kills his mother and sheds his skin. The skin shedding is quite revolting!!

That reminds me, did you watch V, with the lizards disguised in human form? I did. I watched all sorts when I was young, still do.

It’s 18:18 xx I hope you’re very happily home now my beautiful sweetheart. Just one more day {} It really does zoom by, doesn’t it?!

Here’s Simple Minds new single, Beginner Boys. I think this album version sounds better than the single version. I also have Be Thankful 4 What U Got by Atomic Habitz, live at Newport Jazz. What do you think of the happy sock?! I hope you enjoy both of them, especially Marcus King on the guitar. I’d love to hear your thoughts {} xxx

I hope it doesn’t take long to do what you need to, then you can fully sit back, relax and settle in for the night xx

Take it gently my lovely, and enjoy the most beautiful, chilled, fun and delicious evening. Rest well and make your precious heart sing for me too {} xxx

I bet you have something amazing for dinner. I had a very delicious gnocchi with tomatoes and mozzarella. It’s frozen from Picard, which is a French company. They were born in the same year I was! Their ratatouille is lovely as well. Have you had some recently? I hope so xx

I got a message saying that the food delivery was next. The driver was your namesake. It did make me smile because I was watching Les Dogs at the time, and wondered if you used to watch CSP. So many things make me think of you.

I love you so much and I’m hugging you with a great big comforting bear hug. Hug, hug. Kiss, kiss. Please give yourself lots of love and care for me {} xxxx
