Enjoy the Most Gorgeous Bank Holiday…
2nd May 2026
Good morning my most beautiful and precious starshine {} xxx
It’s 11:11. I just had my cuppa and I imagine you’re thoroughly enjoying your very special beans as well. Thoroughly enjoy every delicious hug and kiss for me too xx I had a cocoa bean with mine.
How are you my lovely? I really do hope you’re feeling well, and you’re not too exhausted. I hope you slept soundly and restfully, and everything is okay {} xxx
I hope you’re enjoying a very slow and lazy morning. I know you’ll have many things to do, but I’m keeping everything crossed today will be a more chilled and restful day for you. Everything can wait {}
Just in case you haven’t heard it, here is the brilliant version of David Byrne’s What is the Reason For It?, Cuál Es La Razón?, with Natalia Lafourcade and the Mexican Institute Of Sound. David’s drawings on the video are wonderful as well.
I haven’t heard Mirror by Sally Oldfield for decades. It’s so lovely. I hope you enjoy revisiting it as well my beautiful sweetheart {} xxx
I slept well, but the exhaustion and symptoms are hitting me now. I still have all the messages to write. I wish I could plug myself into something. I am wary of pushing my brain. I can’t lose it.
The bathroom light switch needs replacing. When our landlord was here, she reminded us to switch the mains off. I replied, “Perhaps the electrocution would give me a burst of much needed energy.”
The COVID-19 cases are at an all time low, which is great news. It would be brilliant if it stays this way. Once again, I hope you’re all being kept safe and well my lovely {} xxx
It really does feel like we’re living in a parallel universe, especially with how the stabbings in Golders Green were being reported and politicised over the last few days.
I saw the most shocking clip this morning, of Sky reporter Emma Birchley saying, “For many of the people, probably the vast majority, they are going to the protests to support the people of Gaza, and maybe against what is being done by the Israeli government, in their minds.”
“In their minds”. Wow!! This is what they call genocide now?!! This is gaslighting on a colossal scale. Speaking of genocide, The Lemkin Institute have classed what they’re doing to transgender people in the UK, as genocide as well.
The local elections can’t come soon enough. The Greens will do brilliantly, but I hope they have been underestimated and will do better than predicted. Liron’s posting our ballot papers today. I always imagined you going in to vote. I should’ve asked you. I’d still go in if I could.
This is a funny thing to say, but going in feels more empowering, and it feels like a proper vote. I guess it’s also because everyone is voting on the same day, so there’s a sense of togetherness. I do miss that.
How did you feel the very first time you voted? For me it felt like such a huge and important thing. It felt like my vote mattered and it could make a difference. I know how the system is now, but it doesn’t stop me voting for a party that I feel would help everyone, especially the most vulnerable.
It’s 12:12. I’m going to leave you on a lighter note. Do you know what the fear of long words is called? It’s Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia.
This did make me chuckle, and I hope it makes you chuckle as well. I do miss our chuckles. I really miss you {} xxx
It’s another beautiful day with sunshine. Thoroughly enjoy feeling their warmth and brightness for me too.
Take it gently and restfully my lovely, and enjoy the most gorgeous and fun long weekend, with lots of chilling, delicious treats, magical wonders and fabulous music {} xxx
I love you, and I’m sending you tons and tons of magical healing love, thoughts, hugs, wishes and kisses {} xxxx
It’s rest for me with The Philadelphia Story. I’ve seen it so many times. It’s comfort food. I also hope to finally separate the two baby pileas from their mother this weekend. Fingers crossed they’ll be okay.
