October Day…
1st October 2026
It’s 18:18 xx I hope you’re happily home my lovely, and you’re relaxing with something soothing. Medicine’s always happy to give you a comforting hug, as well as your special stew.
How are you? I hope you’re keeping really well and you’re having a great week. I imagine there’s lots of exciting things happening, and coffee’s taking great care of you {} xxx Just one more day. It flies by, doesn’t it?! I wish it would slow down.
Happy October Day!! I know it doesn’t exist, but it’s your special month so it has to exist xx It’s also National Poetry Day, which is also fitting. I hoped to send you this a few days ago, Postscript by Seamus Heaney. The last line, “And catch the heart off guard and blow it open”, really punches. I hope you love the poem as well {} xxx
Here’s Michael Spicer with his poetic observations in Most TV is Just This Now. Despite not watching these programmes, I imagine he’s spot on. I hope he makes you chuckle xx
I’m still struggling. I’m surprised with how much blood I’m losing, but without the tranexamic acid tablets, it’s thankfully not as horrendous as before. I did need to take an L-arginine tablet today to help me function.
I was both sad and relieved to hear Esther Rantzen passed away. She was suffering so badly. She’s finally at peace. I thought this after my mum died. She was also free from her horrendous suffering.
I was gutted the assisted dying bill didn’t go through. We need that choice if it becomes unbearable. No one should be expected to go through that much pain and suffering.
Did you watch That’s Life? I imagine you did. It was brilliant, wasn’t it?! Here’s a funny clip of a talking dog.
Esther was also a brilliant and remarkable woman, wasn’t she? It was thanks to her that I realised what was happening to me at home was abuse. 0800 1111. That telephone number for Childline is imprinted in my brain. I tried calling it a couple of times from a telephone box, close to home. I couldn’t get through.
It’s 19:45. I hope you haven’t got much to do now, and you can enjoy making your sweet tum very happy. Thoroughly enjoy every heavenly mouthful for me too xx
I’m feeling very ill now so it’s time to stop and rest.
Take it gently my precious angel, and enjoy the most beautiful, relaxing and sweet evening for me too. Rest, rest and rest {} xxx
I love you so much, and sending you tons and tons of love, with the biggest and tightest of magical healing bear hugs and kisses {} xxxx
