Today’s the most magical day in October, where all the stars aligned. What better way to start this extra special day than with Oliver’s Good Morning Starshine {} xx
I hope you’ve slept well, and woken up with your precious heart beaming with love, joy and sunshine. I hope you’re feeling wonderful my lovely {} xxx I know you’ll be at work, but I hope it’ll be very special, filled with lots of love, laughter and beautiful surprises. Nothing’s going to rain on your parade today, not even the weather.
I also hope you’ll be feeling fabulous wearing something you love {} xx I heard Zoot Suit for the very first time on Monday. I never knew The Who were originally known as The High Numbers. I got a bit confused when I saw the video. I also didn’t know it was their first single. Fantastic!
Did you ever own a Zoot Suit or the equivalent? Actually, I just remembered a dream I had years ago. You were wearing a suit with large shoulders. The suit wasn’t you though, in colour, shape or style. You didn’t look comfortable in it. I think Ken and Kenneth would agree that it didn’t suit you sir.
I can’t tell you how much I wish I could write to you directly. I desperately want to, I really do {} xxx I just hope you will read this, whether it’s today, tomorrow, next week, next month or next year. I’m keeping everything crossed it’s sooner rather than later.
In the meantime, I’m Alone With My Thoughts with Nora Jones. Her song couldn’t be more perfect, especially for today. I really do hope you can hear my whispers, and feel my love and hugs. A very happy special you day my lovely {} xxx
I do love the poetic beauty of the quantum entanglement theory. The idea of particles from the same origin, remaining deeply connected after separating, regardless of their distance, is sublime. No matter the distance in time and space, if something happens to one particle, then it affects the others. It made me think of you. Perhaps this is the intrinsic bond I feel with you {} xxx
I really wanted to send you something special. I hoped to take a photo of Saturn or Jupiter for you, but the stars, my health and the weather conditions just couldn’t align. Thankfully, I made the Hello video for you in August. They were amongst the first set of photos I took through the telescope. Sturgeon Moon was very eager and excited to say hello to you {} xxx
I quickly took this shot of Harvest Moon for you on the 6th of October. Although it was the day before it was full, moon was absolutely spectacular and mesmerising against the shifting clouds. The clouds shone like stars, and the mood was ever-changing. I imagined you were thoroughly enjoying the magnificent display as well {} xx It was on the evening I wrote the Hope… letter to you. It really was the perfect way to end that day, and I hoped we were sharing Harvest Moon together {} xxx
I took this shot of Hunter’s Moon through the Barlow lens, on the 6th of September. I haven’t cropped this image. They do look huge and imposing, especially with the shadows of the leaves wafting on the left. I loved the shot but was disappointed with the specks on the right, which was caused by dust on the lens. I didn’t see it when I took the photos. I now feel the specs add to it. Our perception can easily change when we look at something more closely…
Miles arrived for both of us on Monday, which was earlier than expected, along with something else just for you {} xx In the same way I had the strong urge to get you Miles’s new album, I had the same urge with something else. I couldn’t stop myself when I saw it was about a deep friendship. I see so many things I think you’d like, but I hold back. I just couldn’t with these two.
I wish I could’ve sent them to you directly, but I didn’t want to upset you in any way, especially not today. I know there’s a chance I might not be able to give them to you, but they’re both very happy to wait. In the meantime, here’s Miles with Blue Skies. He misses you as well {} xx

I really hope you’re okay my lovely, and you’re having a great morning. I hope you, and everyone, are feeling very happy. Your sweet tum will soon be delighted as well. Thoroughly enjoy your scrumptious lunch for me too {} xx What are you having? I imagine you have some yummy treats.
I got a WhatsApp message just before 09:00. When it buzzed, my heart jumped and I hoped it was you. It is hitting me today. It naturally would. I miss sending you my wishes. I miss celebrating you. I miss speaking you. I miss you {} xx
It’s 13:13. I’ve not long finished therapy. It was very difficult, but I’ll tell you on another day.
I was in tears at the end of the session, but then I saw the sun shining brightly through my window. It was so uplifting. I thought of you, and was so happy that sun came out for you. For me it felt like a new day, and Nina Simone’s Feeling Good came to mind.
You’ve all shown me a healthier way of being and feeling. You’ve all shown me what family really is. Thank you so, so much my precious angel {} xxx I couldn’t go back to how things were in the past. I don’t want to.

It’s 16.03. I just read Dave Bell has died. That’s really sad. I thought of you. I hope you’re okay my lovely {} I remember you bringing up Soft Cell playing Say Hello, Wave Goodbye on Jools. I’d seen them as well and yes, it is a beautiful and moving version. I also can’t believe it was seven years ago. It’s still fresh…

It’s 21:31. I just found out The Who released Baba O’Riley on this day in 1971. Sweet. Told you!! They all came out for you!! I love you {} xxxx
21:41. I just did a cross-check. Some say Baba O’Riley was released in November 1971. Let’s just say it’s today. The Kinks however, definitely released All Day and All of the Night on this day in 1964. Fantastic!! You’re the brightest star!! {} xxxx
